Our Founders

Mrs. Hassani and Mrs. Henson were inspired to create Virtus Cottage School on a cold, February morning over a warm cup of tea. Six months and a lot of late night, virtual meetings later, they opened the doors to the first Virtus Cottage School students. After 2 years of co-directing and co-teaching the Classical Studies program, Mrs. Hassani and her family were called to a new home in Kentucky, where she has founded the beautiful Woodland Homeschool Fellowship community; but she leaves behind her fingerprints on all that Virtus Cottage School stands for: quality curriculum, rigorous academics, gracious professionalism, and Christlike character.
