By definition, the humanities refer to the study of ancient Greek and Roman culture, including their languages (Latin and Greek), literature, history, philosophy, art, archaelogy, and mythology, especially emphasizing the foundational texts and civilizations of the Western world. This 25/26 school year we will bring the Classical Humanities to Virtus Cottage School by offering GBT I and GBT III on our Temecula campus. To find out more about these Great Books Tutorials for the upper grades, please visit the Escondido Tutorial Service website.
Virtus Cottage School is delighted to bring GBT to homeschoolers in the Temecula Valley. Taught by Sandra Nguyen, this local, in-person option will meet at our Temecula campus on Monday mornings. As part of the Virtus community, Temecula GBT students will need to apply and register through Virtus Cottage School.
Virtus Cottage School’s GBT students will follow ETS’s weekly reading schedule, use all of the specific book editions of Escondido GBT, and are invited to participate in the Escondido special events; however, Virtus GBT students will not be expected to meet the 1st or 2nd year Choir requirement.
